Prague Conference of Young Historians is coming in 2027

The Prague Conference of Young Historians 2027 is an international conference project organized by FFabula – Students of History Association at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. Its aim is to create an interdisciplinary platform for students and young researchers in history and related disciplines to meet, present their research, and discuss diverse approaches and perspectives.

The inaugural conference theme is Many Faces of Prosperity.

The conference aims to create an interdisciplinary platform for discussing how prosperity has been defined, pursued, represented, institutionalized, and contested throughout history. We welcome contributions from a broad range of historical perspectives and methodological approaches, including interdisciplinary, didactic, museological, and comparative research.

CFA 2027: Many Faces of Prosperity

The inaugural edition of the conference, titled Many Faces of Prosperity, explores prosperity as a historical, cultural, political, economic, environmental, and symbolic phenomenon. The conference seeks to encourage critical reflection on how prosperity has been defined, pursued, represented, institutionalized, and contested across different historical periods and societies.

Conference Details

When and Where:
The conference will take place at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague on 5–6 February 2027.

Eligibility:
Undergraduate and master’s student
Recent graduates (MA/Mgr) or first-year doctoral students

Deadline:
We invite you to submit your proposals via email or Google Forms by 31.10.2026.
Notification of acceptance will be sent by December 2026.

Length of Proposal:
Each presentation should be 15 minutes long + discussion

Conference Fee:
Will be announced (expected to be approximately €20). 

Please note that accommodation and travel costs will not be reimbursed.
