Its main objectives are to create a platform for communication and networking among current students and alumni across all years and levels of study. The Association also organizes a wide range of activities promoting the study and public presentation of history, including student research presentations and lectures by invited guest speakers. It offers a wide range of specialised research-oriented as well as teacher-training Bachelor\u2019s, Master\u2019s, and Doctoral study programmes. The Institute builds on the rich local tradition of historical scholarship and education in the field of history. It represents a synergy of expertise among leading scholars and educators, who are able to cover a broad spectrum of historical periods (from the early Middle Ages to contemporary history), geographical contexts (from national and Central European history to global perspectives), and historiographical approaches (ranging from political, economic, social, and cultural history to public
